If we built a base on the moon would Solar power be enough to run it?
What if someday in the future we build a moon base, would solar energy provide sufficient power for everything? Its not like you have to worry about cloudy days and thunderstorms like on Earth, Is it possible to store enough solar energy during daylight hours to provide continUous power to run all the appliances and gear, I would get very grumpy if the water went cold halfway thru my shower then I had to eat cold baked beans cause theres not enough power to cook the pizza!
No…they would most likely use the “solar winds” to provide energy. Sort of like a windmill that creates electricity with light energy instead of wind. It’s still energy but not stored by voltaic paneling.
