I have a question on PV system/Solar Panels?
If you’re a pv designer how would you design a pv system for a house for a customer if you only have phone contact with them, what questions would you ask if their home is right for pv system and what size it would be, what size pv system and about their house.
Location?
Number of hours of direct sun per day?
Do you have a south facing roof? how large? Is there any shade on it at any time of day?
Grid Tie or “off the grid” ?
Do you want to totally power your house or just partially?
How much electricity in kW-hours do you use per month in the summer? in the winter?
If it’s “off the grid”, how long a sunless period do you want the system to provide power? how many days?
Do you have a space for a bank of batteries if “off the grid” ? how big?
How much money do you want to spend?
