Solar power is a safe and eco-friendly source of energy. It refers to the energy that generated from sunlight. There are several different methods for controlling solar energy for domestic requirements. Recently there has been an increase in the business and talking about the advantages. The increased interest in this source of energy is mainly due to the following three factors. First one is the increasing energy bills. Second is the reduction of fossil fuel reserves. Finally the ending is the environmental impact of burning, non renewable fossil fuels. Solar power focuses the attention quite well because it makes use of sunlight for producing energy that is available free of charge. It is harmless to the environment. Thus, many domestic and commercial areas are moving on to this energy source to fulfill their energy requirements. It is of many standard for use in remote locations where people do not have conventional energy sources. It has several uses in almost all the fields. Solar Power has widespread use at homes. These lights are typical for garden lighting and may even be used for indoor lighting. It is indeed a powerful energy source for home as it requires a one-time value that is extremely low. It has almost negligible maintenance fee. Among the several uses of this source of energy, Solar cells are one of them. Solar cells are devices that convert sunlight into electricity. Technically they known as photo voltaic cells. It is a container that creates electric energy with the help of light. Solar cells can generate electricity from any source of light and determined purpose is the set of solar energy. It works as follows: Photons reach its side and works a semiconductor like silicon. Thus, reaction among them results in the production of electrical flow, producing energy. Solar cells are the main components of solar panels that convert the sun’s energy into electricity without any requirement of additional devices. A Solar Panel made up of a variety of solar cells combined to produce the required amount of energy. This section can also be referred to as a module and thus solar panel can also be sometimes known as solar module. The solar panels can either be individually or by linking many together to generate lot amount of electricity. When a group of solar panels combined then they refer to as solar array. If more number of solar panels add to a solar array, then more power they generate. Solar panels are becoming an acceptable source of clean energy. Earlier they were quite large and bulky as compared to the currently used models. They also produced comparatively lesser amount of energy than today’s time. Now the time has changed, the production rate has reduced manifolds along with the reduction in maintenance cost and one time unit charge. The solar cells make a positive device industry solely with the presence of light that required by the solar cells, to convert. Other devices powered by a solar cell are emergency road signs, parking lights, or call boxes.
